About Us

WHO

The Rockhampton Cycling Club is an active body of cyclists and their families, supporters and people generally interested in the sport of cycling, focussing on road and track (velodrome) disciplines.

WHERE

Our headquarters and velodrome is in Berserker Street, North Rockhampton, right next to the North Rockhampton swimming pool - Rockpool waterpark. During road season, approximately March to September, the club meets at the various race venues around Central Queensland. During track season, September to February, the meeting headquarters is The Kenrick Tucker Velodrome, Berserker Street, North Rockhampton.

WHEN

During road season (March to September), races are held most Saturday afternoons, with some variations announced each season, and those weekends where a major meeting is held in other centres.

During track season, racing is held on Friday nights , and Saturday nights on the first Saturday of each month.

Training times are set by individual coaches, and co-ordinated by the coaching co-ordinator.

All meetings are announced on the relevant pages of this website, and a calendar of meetings can be downloaded for printing.

HOW

If you want to start in cycling, contact the coaching co-ordinator.

The Rockhampton Cycling Club caters for all ability levels, and our racing is graded from novice, through F,E,D,C,B and A Grades, so beginners through to Olympic level cyclists are catered for.

The Rockhampton Cycling club is continually a breeding ground for some of the nation's and indeed the world's finest cyclists, both in road and track, and has a proud history of elite cyclists that have had their beginnings in Rockhampton. Our aim is to foster cycling and make it available to all who are interested in cycling, regardless of skill level.
